Do you know “hipsters” in Japanese? It’s just “サブカルクソ野郎 (Sabukaru-Kusoyarou). |

>I am a respectful foreigner intent on enjoying the remainder of the week in Tokyo. Hey OP, stay longer than a week. A week isn't enough to see the good shit. Anyways, I personally recommend the cat island, Tashirojima. Maybe it's because I'm a cat fag, though. Go to the shrines around where you'll be staying. They're usually scattered about, but those are the most "authentic" places. For fun stuff, go to the Capybara Onsen → http://izushaboten.com/lang/index.html |

Have a vibrant Nigerian character show you a good time in roppongi, they move in clusters and are difficult to miss come evening. Or do what I did last night and miss a last train connection and pay a small fortune getting back to the other side of the city. My driver said he owns a race horse. Cool guy. But seriously, Tokyo is awesome. I've never come here with a plan, it's a pleasure just walking around and coming across something unexpected at times. Today I discovered moomin house cafe. |
