All-solid-state Lithium-sulfur batteries (Li-S)
The lithium-ion batteries are widely used in portable equipment such as
mobile phones and PCs. But these batteries contain flammable organic
solvents as electrolytes. So, it is used under high temperature or
overcharged, they may be in a dangerous state.
Inorganic solid electrolytes would be one of the solutions.
All-solid-state lithium-ion secondary batteries using solid electrolytes
instead of organic liquid electrolytes and they draw attention as next
generation batteries.
All-solid-state batteries do not include non-flammable organic materials,
so it can be used in high temperature.
In addition to working in high temperature environment, all-solid-state
batteries can work in low temperature environment.
